I have located this instrument on the engineers panel of the US Navy's floatplane JRM-1 Martin Mars
F9F-5 Panther Fighter Flight Computer 1952 Lockheed Survey operations commenced in mid-1953This is an original Rest Computer developed specifically for the US Navy's Grumman F9F 5 Panther Fighter jet with the J48 P 6A engine in 1952, Stock No R88C1075 039 000. It is in its original packaging with instructions. The Rest Computer was designed for simple solution of level flight cruise control problems. It is a 3 disc circular slide rule. Measures 7 in diameter.
